Salih Taşkın graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 2001 and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2006. He remained on the Ankara University faculty, becoming professor in the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences in 2023, and joined Memorial Göztepe Hospital in 2025. He trained in robotic surgery and gynaecologic oncology at McGill University, Canada, in 2014 and holds ESGO certification in gynaecologic oncology (2018). His research centres on sentinel lymph node mapping with indocyanine green in endometrial cancer; he is a contributor to the Turkish Gynecologic Oncology Group (TRSGO) sentinel node studies and to European multicentre studies on lymphovascular space invasion in endometrial cancer.
