The cardiac team (cardiologist + surgeon) evaluates SYNTAX score, diabetes, left main disease and ejection fraction. The decision is made collegially, not by a single doctor.
How long is rehabilitation after CABG?
Hospital stay 5–7 days. Return to light activity in 4 weeks. Full recovery in 6–8 weeks. Supervised cardiac rehab for 6 weeks.
Am I a TAVI candidate or do I need open replacement?
Decided by STS-score, EuroSCORE, aortic anatomy and access vessels. TAVI is for high/intermediate-risk and elderly patients.
