Anaesthesiologist and intensivist at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, where she heads the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation. She graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (1984–1991) and completed her anaesthesiology and reanimation residency at Akdeniz University (1997–2000). She became Associate Professor in 2009 and Professor in 2014, served as Deputy Chief Physician of the university hospital from 2009 to 2013, and has been a Vice Rector of Akdeniz University since 2020. Her published work covers ventilation strategies in laparoscopic surgery, anaesthesia for living-donor renal transplantation, regional anaesthesia in patients with a transplanted heart, obstetric anaesthesia and pharmacology, brain death and organ donation practice, and airway and tracheobronchial trauma. She teaches a postgraduate course on anaesthetic complications and holds instructor certification in trauma and resuscitation courses.
