Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldız is a professor of cardiology and interventional cardiologist at Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital. An Ege University graduate with cardiology training at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Cardiology Institute (where he served as Deputy Institute Director and Chief Physician 2009-2023), he is a recognised pioneer of TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) in Turkey, having performed the first TAVI procedure at Istanbul University. He served as Treasurer of the Turkish Society of Cardiology (2021-2024) and is a member of the European Society of Cardiology.
