Ali Cemal Yumuşakhuylu is an ENT surgeon at Memorial Göztepe Hospital whose academic post is in the Department of Otolaryngology at Marmara University School of Medicine. He completed both his medical degree (1996–2003) and his ENT residency (2004–2010) at Marmara University, then worked at Ümraniye and Pendik training and research hospitals before returning to Marmara as a faculty member in 2014. In 2015–2016 he was a clinical fellow at the James Cancer Hospital of Ohio State University, where much of his published work on transoral robotic surgery for oropharyngeal cancer originated. He became a professor in 2024.
