Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ozan Balakan is a medical oncologist at İSÜ Liv Hospital Bahçeşehir, Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, completed his specialization in internal medicine at Dicle University in 2005, and his sub-specialty in medical oncology at Gaziantep University in 2012. He served on the faculty of Selçuk University, Gülhane Military Medical Academy (Endocrinology, 2008-2009), Gaziantep University, and Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, where he became associate professor and head of the Medical Oncology Department in 2016. Before joining Liv, he served at REYAP İstanbul Hospital. His clinical and research focus covers breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers (including hepatocellular carcinoma), neuroendocrine tumors and central nervous system tumors.
