Rohat Ak is an emergency physician at Memorial Göztepe Hospital, where he has worked since 2025. He graduated from İnönü University Faculty of Medicine in Malatya in 2011 and completed his emergency medicine residency at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital in 2017, then practised at Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital until 2025. The Turkish Interuniversity Board granted him the associate professor title on 22 March 2022. His research focuses on risk stratification in emergency medicine, including COVID-19 severity scores, upper gastrointestinal bleeding scores, appendicitis prediction rules and triage systems for earthquake mass-casualty admissions.
