Prof. Dr. H. Zeki Büyükyıldız is one of Türkiye's most senior ophthalmologists, with more than four decades of clinical and surgical experience. A 1976 graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and trained at four UK centres — including Moorfields Eye Hospital London and Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge — in vitreoretinal surgery, laser photocoagulation and IOL implantation. He has practiced refractive (excimer-laser) surgery since 1994. After retiring from public service in late 2016, he joined İSÜ Liv Hospital Bahçeşehir, where he focuses on cataract, refractive (LASIK/Femto-LASIK), medical retina and glaucoma care.
