Alihan Oral is an internal medicine specialist. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2011 and completed his internal medicine residency at Istanbul Medeniyet University Göztepe Training and Research Hospital in 2016, alongside a non-thesis master's degree in health management in 2015. He was an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Demiroğlu Bilim University from 2018 to 2020, received the associate professor title from YÖK in 2021, and has held a faculty post at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine since 2023; Biruni's AVESIS record shows him as professor as of 2026. He joined Liv Hospital Ulus in 2026, after working at Medicana Bahçelievler Hospital between 2020 and 2023. His clinical interests are obesity and metabolic disease, diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension, lipid disorders, gastrointestinal disease, and vitamin and mineral deficiencies. His recent research consists largely of multicentre Turkish cohort studies on obesity phenotypes, cardiovascular risk stratification and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, together with work on point-of-care ultrasound in internal medicine.
