How long is recovery after sleeve gastrectomy?
Hospital stay 3–4 days. Return to light work in 2 weeks. Full recovery 4–6 weeks. Liquid diet for 2 weeks.
How much weight is lost in the first year?
Sleeve: 60–70% of excess weight in 12 months. Bypass: 70–80%. Monthly weight and nutrition follow-up with a dietitian is mandatory.
