Frequently asked about Urology

Da Vinci or open prostatectomy?
Da Vinci offers less blood loss, better nerve-sparing technique and faster functional recovery. Open is reserved for large invasive tumours.
HoLEP or TURP for BPH?
HoLEP — for prostates of any size (>80 ml — gold standard). TURP — for prostates up to 80 ml. HoLEP results in fewer reoperations.
