Aziz Ahmad Hamidi is an infectious diseases and clinical microbiology specialist at Memorial Göztepe Hospital, where he has practised since 2025. He graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2003 and completed his specialty training at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) between 2004 and 2010. He worked at Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine from 2020 to 2022 and at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital from 2022 to 2025. His research covers antibiotic consumption and antimicrobial resistance, viral hepatitis B and C, candidaemia, urinary tract infection and Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever. He holds the Turkish Ministry of Health's hospital infection control certificate and the national board qualification in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology.
