Prof. Dr. Abdullah Avni Atay is a senior pediatric hematologist at Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital. He earned his medical degree at the Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA), where he completed his pediatrics specialization in 1997, became Assistant Professor in 2002 and Associate Professor in 2006. He led pediatric hematology and stem cell / bone marrow transplantation work at GATA before joining private hospital practice in Istanbul. His clinical and research interests include pediatric hematology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, thalassemia and pediatric oncology.
